Based on Auguste Rodin's 1906 encounter with King Sisowath's royal dancers, Princess Buppha Devi created a new choreography entitled Neang Waddhana Devi. Mr. Xavier de Lausanne filmed this adventure, following the work of the princess and introducing us to the history of the Royal Ballet through a richly documented historical evocation. The film will be followed by a Preah Thorn dance (optional) performed in pure turn-of-the-century style.
It is an indoor Show with AC - The capacity of the room is maximum 35 seats, which brings you into close contact with the dancers
" Must go with my friends who come for holidays in Cambodia. Nice show, that lasts one hour. Very good introduction to Cambodian culture through classical Cambodian ballet. I personally attended 3 times the Coronation of the King. Loved it."
"This traditional Cambodian dance show is a marvel for the eyes and spirit. Combining Cambodia’s ancient cultural heritage with contemporary originality. The dancers in sumptuous costumes tell captivating stories. Enjoy a wonderful evening while supporting the school and its children!"
"I really enjoyed this beautiful Cambodian traditional dance show made by the Princess Buppha Devi School students. More than a dance show it's a training in real conditions for the students from the school and a good way to support their great project to continue to transmit this traditional dance to young generations, allowing Khmer legacy to survive over times! I highly recommend to see the show and to support their very talented young artists. It's really part of the Khmer culture discovery!"
